The Gipper’s 100th
1:47 pm in Gary Senice, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin For President 2012 by skyzot63
Yesterday we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birthday. See me Valley and the Reagan Museum was alive with patriots and dignitaries, I didn’t care too much for any of them other than Gary Sinise and Sarah Palin. They both knocked it out of the park as far as I was concerned.
Gary Sinise has done more for our troops and our veterans than anyone I can even think of, he has taken planeloads of school supplies and toys to the kids of Iraq. He gave a very inspiring speech during the celebration. He highlighted so many of Reagan’s policy decisions and principles. If he ever decides to run for office at the national level or the state of California I will vote for him.
Gov. Palin also gave an extremely inspirational speech, I really hope that that was the prelude to a run for the White House in 2012. I found this article about her speech at Reuters.
Palin says Obama’s policies have US on road to ruin
At Reagan celebration, says government has lost way
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Feb 4 (Reuters) – Republican Sarah Palin said on Friday an explosion of government spending and debt under President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats had put the United States on "the road to ruin."
In a tribute to former President Ronald Reagan, the potential 2012 White House contender said leaders in Washington had lost sight of the values that made Reagan a Republican icon and a hero to conservatives — a belief in limited government, low taxes and personal freedoms.
I could not agree with her more, Obama is hell-bent on taking us into oblivion. I just hope I am alive long enough to see him thrown out of office, in 2012 if not sooner.

We all want Obama out of the White House, and there is no Republican nominee who can beat Obama. Except Paul. The only way to beat Obama is to steal his votes, and the only who who will do that is Paul. Obama only won the election because he got the Independent vote- it was anyone other than McCain/Palin. Independents and Democrats alike love Paul.
This is a serious situation. We can’t just wait until 2016 when any old Republican is a shoe in. I fear the economy- and the dollar- will not last that long. It’s time we stop worrying about the reputation of the Republican party (who will be their puppet) and start worrying about the future of this country.
Please, don’t give up on Ron Paul. Reconsider what you think you know about him- the media has not done a fair job. He was completely ignored in the 08 election.
“Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country.”
-Ronald Reagan
Don’t get me wrong, I like Ron Paul. I just don’t think he has a chance of ever winning the White House. I would love to be proven wrong, He has great things to say and even if does not win, I think his policy thoughts will impact who ever wins. We are all tired of the good ole boy network, (It is his turn). Look at what happened with Dole.
Thanks for your comment, Liberty. Hope to hear from you again.
I dont know, just it seems to me that Reagan ran up a significant deficit – and so does the current president. My belief is that the resurgence of the economy in the late 1980s had a lot to do with increased oil pumping by the Saudis, and very little to do with US domestic policy. Write up what you think.
