Military to Pledge Oath To Obama, Not Constitution

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is extremely frustrated with orders that the White House is contemplating. According to sources at the Pentagon, including all branches of the armed forces, the Obama Administration may break with a centuries-old tradition.

A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers and officers pledge a loyalty oath directly to the office of the President, and no longer to the Constitution.

It is worded that way for a very good reason. Presidents can be evil, and I think this one is. Their plan sounds very much like a private army.

“The oath to the Constitution is as old as the document itself.” the spokesman said, “At no time in American history, not even in the Civil War, did the oath change or the subject of the oath differ. It has always been to the Constitution.”

Yes that document is old, so let’s just toss it out. That is what is coming. Obama does not want to be bothered by something like The Constitution.

The back-and-forth between the White House and the Defense Department was expected as President George W. Bush left office. President Obama has already signed orders to close Guantanamo and to pull combat troops from Iraq. But, this, say many at the Defense Department, goes too far.

“Technically, we can’t talk about it before it becomes official policy.” the spokesman continued. “However, the Defense Department, including the Secretary, will not take this laying down. Expect a fight from the bureaucracy and the brass.”

Sources at the White House had a different point of view. In a circular distributed by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the rationale for the change was made more clear.

“The President feels that the military has been too indoctrinated by the old harbingers of hate: nationalism, racism, and classism. By removing an oath to the American society, the soldiers are less likely to commit atrocities like those at Abu Ghraib.”

Atrocities my ass, that entire thing was blown out of proportions by the media and eaten up by the demoncrats like they had not eaten for a week.
It was a Vere solemn moment when I took that oath. It is an oath for life. I feel as strongly now as I did then.

“We expect a lot of flak over this,” the classified memo continues. “But those that would be most against it are those looking either for attention or control.”

Or perhaps, those who took that oath seriously and see this as a threat to The Constitution.

The time frame for the changes are unknown. However, it is more likely that the changes will be made around the July 4th holiday, in order to dampen any potential backlash. The difference in the oath will actually only be slight. The main differences will be the new phrasing. It is expected that the oath to the Constitution will be entirely phased out within two years.

One word can change everything and bring down a nation. This must not be allowed to happen. Lock and load while we still have that right.
It truly sounds like President Zero and his minions want to bypass the step to socialism and go straight to communism. This is a very scary time for me watching the country that I put my life on the line for, being brought down right in front of my eyes.

Obama seems to be obsessed with El Rushbo and talk radio. He sees them as a threat to his plan to destroy this country as we know it. He is correct, his plan will have great difficulty being passed and implemented as long as The American people have conservatives to listen to and watch. He fears Rush and the rest of the conservative on radio and TV. He has good reason to fear El Rushbo, he is more popular than Obambi.
Rush, Hannity, Levin, Huckabee, Sussman and many other Conservative hosts are popular because they speak the truth in a manner that anyone, except liberals, can understand.

On another note: The Republicans in the House and Senate seem to have grown some stones. Opposing the outrageous “stimulus plan”. Stimulus plan my ass, it is a real load of bullshit hiding behind the name.
Billions of dollars of pork projects, money to shady groups like Acorn, Endowment For the Arts, just to mention two. It seems like every Demoncrat has some very important pet project that he or she expects us to pay for.
I think if the truth were told, only a very minute percentage of this package actually will help American Citizens.
Most of the money, not going to pet projects, will be going to programs intended to insure that Demoncrats are in power, with a strangle hold on Americans and the economy, for a very long time.

The Other Inauguration

The much vaunted, post-racial, `come together` campaign culmination was neither.

I for one waited and waited and then waited some more for someone to tell the truth.

After watching enough fawning to make me nauseous, I had to say something.

I was there from the very beginning in the middle of the National Mall, on the day before as well as the whole inauguration.

The crowd was overwhelmingly african american. That is a simple fact that anyone there knows and should be honest enough to say so.

It was a mess. There was no `coming together`. The atmosphere was extremely racist and if you didn’t look right, they let you know.

It took hours to get into the mall and in spite of being the `peoples inauguration` was far from it.

All the `big people` had special passes that got them into their special area while all of the `regular people` had to go under a nearly quarter mile tunnel under the mall, where it was difficult to breathe just to get into the National Mall.

The event itself though was far from what it was described.

I felt very, very uncomfortable. Regular glances and snide remarks sent the message very clearly `what are you doing here – this is our event`!

Further, the booing and dancing and hate filled comments when President Bush and Vice President Cheney came out were unacceptable.

The speech insulted President Bush over and over and honestly was neither profound nor well written.

The extremely racist `prayer` by an out of date Joseph Lowry would have caused a major scandal. Instead, it brought loud guffaws from the crowd who didn’t seem to know or really care what a `prayer` actually was. No heads were bowed during any of the prayers.

For whatever it means the much vaunted crowd that filled the mall was a mean, hateful, rough crowd.

Not only the mall but all of Washington was taken over by this whole group. From hawking everything from t-shirts to all kinds of buttons bordering on `buy something or you don’t pass`, the atmosphere was a far cry from the disgusting descriptions that I have had to watch nonstop on TV and read in the paper.

Frankly, I was completely sickened by it all and exhausted entered the lobby of a hotel in on Capitol Hill bracing myself for another flood of the angry, mean crowd.

I came upon the strangest of situations. There were two distinct groups of people who were mobbing the hotel lobby, the restaurants and up the escalators.

One group was clearly leaving. This was the same mean, nasty grown from the National Mall.

Another huge group was on their way in, lined up at the Check In counter and the two groups were mingling going in their different directions.

The two groups though were dramatically different.

In contrast to the first group, the new group was dramatically different. They were bright, cheerful, smiling and brightened the otherwise mean atmosphere.

I was curious. Who could they be?

A quick question to a small group waiting in the lobby..

`Oh, were here for The March of Life`.

Now it all made sense!

What a difference. One group with a leader promising one of his first acts would be to rescind the restrictions on abortion wholesale.

In contrast the leaders of the other group, dedicated to saving life..

`Look over there` the lady said `it is a baby that was saved from an abortion`.

There lay a little child in the arm of a nun.

Then I suddenly focused and there seemed to be Priests, Nuns and bright cheerful kids, seniors and just about everything in between.

What a contrast!

Somehow, I found the tears coming. It had been a tough and miserable two days with the `thugs` having taken over the city.

How refreshing to have some brightness, faith and above all, hope – the real kind!

Now the bleeding begins! The Magnanimous, Holy Chosen One, immediately signed an executive order to close Gitmo. He has over looked one minor detail. What the fuck are you going to do with the 250+, murderous, evil, savage bastards held there?
The traitorous Rep. John Murtha says he’d be willing to house Guantanamo Bay detainees in his 12th congressional district. There is only one minor hitch, there’s no freaking prison in his district.

Most politicians would rather do anything than make a difficult choice, and it seems President Obama hasn’t abandoned this Senatorial habit. To wit, yesterday’s executive order on interrogation: It imposes broad limits on how aggressively U.S. intelligence officers can question terrorists, but it also keeps open the prospect of legal loopholes that would allow them to press harder in tough cases.

While that kind of double standard may resolve a domestic political problem, it’s no way to fight a war. The human-rights lobby and many Democrats are still experiencing hypochondria about the Bush Administration’s supposed torture program, and their cheering about this “clean break” means they may be appeased. But the larger risk is that Mr. Obama’s restrictions end up disabling an essential tool in the U.S. antiterror arsenal.

Effective immediately, the interrogation of anyone “in the custody or under the effective control of an officer, employee, or other agent of the United States Government” will be conducted within the limits of the Army Field Manual. That includes special-ops and the Central Intelligence Agency, which will now be required to give prisoners gentler treatment than common criminals. The Field Manual’s confines don’t even allow the average good cop/bad cop routines common in most police precincts.

I say again, let the bleeding of our National Security begin, by the time this FOOL is finished there will be no United States of America.

I am not a patient man, I am used to having things done NOW. My current registrar seems to be dragging their feet. I’ve jumped through all the hoops and done everything asked of me.
Trying to contact a real person in support or billing, I am told is where these things are handled, is almost impossible, no phone numbers anywhere. All domain registrars are the same in this matter. I’m going to give this a few more days before I start naming names. It is very frustrating!!!!

As a writer and consumer of entertainment, I really hate clichés and stereotypes. They’re only useful for misdirection, making readers believe the story is going a certain way so you can fool them. But Hollywood keeps trotting out the following lame tropes over and over again. It’s about time they were called on the carpet for this stupidity. These stereotypes are not only offensive; they’re overused to the point where they must be retired for good. If you really care about not offending people, Hollywood, stop offending me and the legions of people who are sick of this drivel.

The Crazed Vet/Soldier: According to Hollywood, if you’re a veteran who fought in a war or a soldier returning from one, you are insane, dangerous and probably a murderous sociopath. Either that or you’re a pathetic loser with mental problems. An emotional basket case. And of course, only poor people join the military, only uneducated stooges easily fooled by government propaganda. No one joins the military because they believe in something. If they do they will find out how foolish they were and become disgusted with America.

Note to Hollywood: Just because you live in a messed-up social circle where being a drugged-out, back-stabbing phony is common, doesn’t mean that everyone else is like that. And just because you can’t be imaginative enough to make complex characters rather than clichés, doesn’t excuse you from your lameness. We know what you’re trying to do. You want to tear down the male in our culture. The creeps passing as lit professors at your college called it “deconstruction.” Remember that old joke that those who can’t do, teach? Our culture isn’t your urinal. We’re not interested in your daddy issues or your loyalty oath to the brainwashed counterculture. Like I said, the 70s are over. So is the 20th century. Get over it and start writing real people or find something else to do.

And those who aren’t under investigation are busy trying to pass laws taking away more freedoms in the name of “saving us”. Gee, isn’t that what you claimed Bush was doing? If you think your party is the good guys and the Republicans the bad guys, no wonder so many of you are crazy. You’re bound for some massive disappointments in the next 4 years. While this will amuse those of us not blinded by your hubris, the fact is politicians of any party are our servants. Some of them forget that and they deserve our scorn. But your blind acceptance of one party, your blind hatred of the other, makes you one-dimensional hacks. We seek truth in our fiction, not propaganda. If you can’t deliver, McDonalds is always looking for burger flippers.

I can not even mention politics with my Liberal friends and family members. I got tired of the screaming!

9: Wise Trashy People: According to Hollywood: hookers, homeless and bizarre lifestyle people are the normal ones. They know what’s “really going on, man.” They’re just being honest. Everyone else is a freak. People who act normal are all depraved and sick. The suburbs are a place of spiritual death. The only truth lies in Bohemia.

Note to Hollywood: So, people who lead self destructive lives (as many of those listed above do, but not all) are wiser than those who try to lead responsible lives? Really? Based on what evidence? Have you ever flipped through the mugshots on sites like the Smoking Gun? Not a lot of “ordinary people” there. And not too many people I would accuse of being wise. Nope. Are you perhaps trying to tell us something about yourselves? Are you trying to rationalize your own freaky code? Or is it just another attempt to dump on traditional society and normalcy. We know that you seem to hate it. You certainly seem to have contempt for Middle America. Well, you’re asking for the same from us. Watch it.

Flyover Losers: Hollywood says: Everyone in the middle or South of America are worthless, toothless, dumb-as-dirt, inbred hicks who may or may not be incestuous psycho killers who keep their deformed children chained in the basement and let them out to feed on any foolish coast dwellers who run out of gas near their house. Either that or they’re insane Bible-thumping Jesus Freaks who want to scream about the Lord and torture you in bizarre reenactments of Passion of the Christ.

Note to Hollywood: If you’ve read this far and haven’t learned anything you really are as stupid as the tropes described above. And probably as inbred and as crazy, so I don’t know what good it is lecturing you. Maybe I’ll just join the public and stop supporting anything with these abysmally lame, sub-literate, morally bankrupt caricatures. You’re starting to look like a bad stereotype yourselves. And smell twice as rank. Clean up your act!

Flyover Country is the heart of this country. That is where the true values of this country live. Without the people in flyover country, we truly would be lost. If there is ever another revolution that becomes necessary, that is where it will start.

The first full day of Pres. 0′s reign as Supreme Ruler. If any of his adoring worshipers were actually listening to the words in his speech, there must have been a great big (WTF) moment. I doubt that many of them can put together a coherent sentence without drooling on their ragged T-shirts.

I heard the words of Ronald Reagan, George Washington and George W. Bush. Not a lot of new good stuff.

Most of his speech and the programs he was laying out, sounded like the same things Pres. Bush has been pushing for the last eight years. Most of those things were blocked by Dingy Harry and “I can’t blink”, Pelosi. It will be interesting to see if Pres. 0 has better success getting things passed.

I think the harsh wall of reality is about to slap 60+ million people right in the face.
The next 100 days are going to be a lot of fun to watch.
